Disney in 6 days pt.3

Ok, last we left off we have gone to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. On Thursday we made our way to Animal Kingdom. On this day it started out good a little over cast. So we went on and did "A Bugs Life" they really liked it,I remembered it from the last time Bob and I were there. Next on to "Expedition Everest". Its the new roller coaster. Let me tell you it was intense. They keep you in the dark for the whole ride. If and when you get there go on it!
Next we do the river raft. We all got wet except one person in our raft she did not get a drop on her. A lady from another family luckiest person in the whole raft. After that we make our way over to the Africa section of Animal Kingdom and on to the Safari ride. Very cool we saw a lot of movement buy the animals from the last time we(Bob and I)were there.
Dino-land was next on our list of things to do at Animal Kingdom. We did the Dinosaur ride. You go back in time and rescue a dinosaur to bring back.
We finish our day out getting autographs from Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. Then on to Rain Forest Cafe. If you have not eate3n in a Rain Forest Cafe make it a "to do"! You wont be disappointed.
Hollywood Studios in my next episode.........

Disney in 6 days pt.2

Well at the Magic Kingdom they have left everything alone. I mean they may have changed stuff but not that I could see from 8 years ago. We got to hit all the mountains while we were there.
Next day no migraine and off to E.P.C.O.T.
As we walked in to the park the "Ball" took all the attention from everyone coming in. Pictures from all vantage points. So we headed to the "GM Test Track" a really cool attraction and "IT" started with my brother-in-law again. This time he wants to drive the car so we let him. After that he wanted to do it again! "That was fun!" Then as we walk off the ride "I'm board" Who do I believe????? Tell me.
Next off to Mission Space a newly revamped attraction. Very cool its a flight simulator. Again "IT" started now we all were ignoring it! They have an advanced and moderate mission. We did the moderate less wait. So on to the World Showcase.
We went counter clock wise its just a thing I got from my parents when we last went there.
Canada-Got t-shirts and Moosehead Beer
United Kingdom- Lunch at the Rose and Crown Fish and Chips and half and half's, Signatures from Eeyore and Pooh(my wife left me for Eeyore)
France- Signature from Bella(Beauty and the Beast)
Moracco- Signatures from Princess Jasmine and The Genie Chrissy got a Sultan Colada
Japan- Saki shots!
USA- not to much elephant ears
Italy- Lemon Liquor and a side show
Germany- trying to recover from the lemon liquor and a $37,500 chrystal castle pretty cool
China- Beer
Norway- we tried to be "cool" Vikings
Mexico- Mayan ruins replicas
After we went around the world Dinner time at the Coral Reef Restaurant.
I was not impressed at all,I don't recommend going there!
So far only bad meal. We stayed for the Fireworks at EPCOT. I've seen them before and was impressed again.

Disney Wolrd in 6 days pt.1

Yes I said it Disney World in 6 days. The wife and I did it with my in laws. How fun!(Yeah right) So we take off from Rochester and lay over in Baltimore 40 minutes Off we go to Orlando Fl. we land and I tell you what Disney take care of everything buses and baggage we did not touch anything till about 3pm. So well we were waiting for our luggage we explored our resort man it was like they took the tropics and set them in Florida. After about an hour we went back to our rooms and took a shower that felt great and on to lunch. My mother-in-law got a migraine so we left her behind to fight it. After that we got a beer and relaxed.
Day two I woke up with the migraine my mother-in-law had great for me! So I fight it until 1030am my wife and her family went to the Magic Kingdom at around 9am. I find them in a Christmas store in the Magic Kingdom. Soon after we take lunch and then on to our first ride. Well our first fast pass, Splash Mountain then on to Big Thunder Mountain our first Disney ride. Not all of us want wanted to go on this ride. My brother-in-law is 8 years old and was a little nervous little nervous might not be the right word. He asked every question out there. "Is this fast, how come we have to wait, I don't want to wait,is this in the dark, when are we going to get there?" Oh boy thats when I knew it was going to be a long trip.
After Thunder Mountain he loved it he wanted to go on again. Next we went to Splash Mountain and "it" started all over again all the questions. We ended the day with "Dreams" Magic Kingdoms impressive firework display. Oh yeah we did the world famous Space Mountain.

On to my wifes Mario Cart addiction(she says she does not have one, denial is the first step). More unheard of comments came out of her again this week. "You can bite my right cheek", "You asshole"oh and the every loving "Fuck You". She needs a little help I am getting very scared for my life!
Two weeks and we are Florida bound going to see "Mickey". My wife and her family's first time there. Should make for some interesting writing?!?!?!

Weddings

Hey as we all know weddings are beautiful. The love of two people, the laughs of fun moments and special moments that all share. Chrissy and I were at a wedding this past weekend. One of Chrissy's "Uncles" he's a really good friend of the family. I had some fun taking pictures. They did not have a photographer but many people had cameras and took a lot a pictures. I have made a CD for the Newlyweds.

On another note I tried something cool I took a picture through a full beer glass. I challenge you to try to do the same. Take a out of the ordinary picture.

How can you say no?

This past week Chris and I went to her cousin's house for a clothes trading session (her not me). After trading clothes we ended up playing the Nintendo Wii with her cousins 3 1/2 year old daughter. Boy she helped with everything making the "Mii's" and bowling was alot of fun, every time she got the ball on the alley she would take a lap of the living room with such joy and accomplishment, and the look on her face was priceless! Just something I had to share I wish I had pictures.

Trying to write

Yes I know I'm trying to write more on this thing. Well April was a blur and ow that it is nice out things are going to get more and more blurry. Every weekend something to do and with somewhere to go. And next thing you know its all over and more of the white stuff and hibernation for good Ol'Rochester.
I have been trying to book my band at different places other than the California Brew Haus. But they like us there. We have a second guitarist and things are moving along pretty well with that.

Things have been crazy.

Things have been crazy the past couple weeks Chrissy(my wife) was having trouble with school and financial aid. With all that cleared up she is going to graduate in July instead of November. (wooooohoooo!)
We have been raising money for the American Heart Association Heart walk yesterday 4-5-08. It was an awsome day to walk through downtown Rochester. Wow this city has a little history and great looking buildings. 3 miles over all.
This year We are going to do a little more to lose some weight and get a little healthier. Eating more in moderation and walking more.
Here is a taste of my pictures from the Heart walk.

One long week

Well this week has had its downs and way the fuck downs. Ok lets rewind and get a recap of the past week staring with last Friday night ohhhhh, about 445pm. I am making dinner for Chris and I and out loud thinking "I've got to call my mom", just as I got words out of my mouth my phone rings and its her. She said she had bad news and I asked "Did uncle Joe pass away?"(Moms side of the family) She told me and then she says "I've got more bad news!?!?! Charlene your cousin passed yesterday around 430 pm"
At this point I'm in a little shock. Calling hours for my Uncle Joe are 4-7 pm on Friday(damn its 445 thinking to myself its family I've got to go) and service is 10 am on Saturday. Well I jump into a clean shirt and head out in the shittiest weather we've had all winter snowing about 2" an hour.
So Saturday goes without a hitch in the morning. Service was nice and quick it was at, I like to call it "Catholic Lite or Diet Catholic" church. Just to let anyone know I am not Catholic but I will give proper respect to all religions.
Back on track, Jim (a cousin) and I head over to our cousin Sue's house in Spencerport and have the get together. All of the family is there Tom,Sue, Mike ,Joe and Jeanne. With all their children and spouses(I must say we have a growing family). We catch up with everyone and hang out have some pizza and drinks.
Around 3 pm Jim and I head out for I have a CD release show that night!!!(que superhero music)
This is getting long thanks for staying with me I hope its interesting?
So, Later that night at California Brew Haus about 25 people brave the SHITTIEST weather(still coming down 2"an hour) and support their favorite band!
Fast forward to Tuesday night Calling hours for my cousin Charlene. My dads side of the family comes out for this.(It seems to me I see all my relatives at funerals and weddings.)
All in all a long week two family members are put to rest and I have absolutly no reason why I am writing all this you don't care about this

CD Release show

That's right CD release show for TABULA~RASA. March 8th at the California Brew Haus. Anyway this is a first for me and the band. It is a very time consuming process. Making sure that everyone is going to come out. Its very frustrating as well when people are making up way not to come and support. I hope we get a good turn out! That all for now!

I normally don't

I normally don't look through garbage but today a neighbor of ours was moving out and tossed out some old records! So being curious I looked through them, Stevie Nicks,Alice Coopers Greatest hits, Van Halen 1984, and bunch of other I've heard of. Now if they play or not is something to be seen.

Thank You Neil Peart

I know he will never read this but...
Over the past couple of years I started reading as enjoyment and to pass time on breaks at work. I always hear that Neil Peart wrote books so, I picked up one "Ghost Rider" the road to healing. Oh my he puts you right next to him in his travels. Its not a book about drums or drumming ( I know he has written a few as well).
For Christmas I asked for "Roadshow" another one from him this one about his travels on the bands "R30" tour across the U.S.A. and Europe. This man is a master of words and keeping you up to date on his emotions. I am going to work on reading more of his books and over the course of reading his books I've come to really like RUSH, not that I didn't like them before I now appreciate them more and him more as a human than a untouchable "Rockstar".
I would urge anyone to pick up a copy a try it on for size. He is truly a master of more than just drums, he is a master of written word.
Again Thank You Mr. Peart! I am a true fan of all of your work. I look forward to reading more for him(you, if you by any chance read this).
Matt

Venting

A couple things I need to get out off my chest!
1. I've come to a point in my life were people I've made friends with in the past and don't want to call and hang out or just flat out won't return phone calls. I stopped makeing the effort for it to be a relationship.
2. This goes with (1). This girl in high school I had a crush on, used me for rides to the mall and to her boyfriends house and all over the world. I did get to take her to the Prom and Senior ball(whipdy). I found out shes pregnant. I'm cool with that but she is VERY petite. I have a feeling shes going to have a hard time with the pregnancy.
3. I guess I'm cutting my loses! Good luck to me!

My buddy Tim Yeung

This friend of mine Tim Yeung is in a band called Divine Heresy. So when he comes home to visit we usually hook to chat and talk drums. This last time we exchanges some CD's and he offered me a job to go on tour with his band. To setup and maintain his drum set. If I was about 5 years younger and was not married I would. The money is decent and the travel is awsome. ugggh!
My wife doing her best metal! Thanks Timmy

Two things

Two things:
First, Disney has a way to make history cool again. Last night Chris and I went to see National Treasure: Book of secrets. Outstanding I guess I like history. I just can't wait to see some off these school kids see this and start asking questions. Because you know some of them will take this movie to heart.
Second, I bought a pair of slippers on our Honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico. They were comfy. And they got abused and used as chew toys. After almost three years they have to go. (Bought some new ones for Christmas.) So being me I took pictures of the old ones before they got tossed.

Happy 2008

A new year has begun and every one is out to do a resolution. Res-o-lu-tion (n) 4: a formal statement expressing the opinion, will, or intent of a body persons. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary. Thats all it is a statement of intent!
I did take my dogs out for a walk on the 30th of December and took some outdoors photos. Now I am not a photographer but I think they are cool.
On a side note This month I have come to the conclusion that my job is not secure! I work at Delphi E&E Systems it is a union shop.
Hopefully that my wife makes up her mind about moving to North Carolina.
